John, who lives “way out in the desert,” posted this picture of “DC-10 drops on Guiberson fire” on September 23. When you’re done with these, make sure to take a look at some incredible professional photographs, too.

Station Fire clouds tweeted from Lake Elsinore

As the Station Fire rages on, people continue to share images of smoke plumes spotted as far away as Gavilan Hills in Lake Elsinore. For photographs taken by professional journalists, don’t miss the wildfires gallery on Boston.com. If your in O.C., you might want to check out the Orange County Register’s (shameless plug) slideshows of OCFA firefighters battling the fire or displaced dogs taken in by the Irvine Animal Care Center.
