OC Fair folks tweet fried food and farm fun

The Orange County Fair is in full swing, with its fried food, Ice Museum and farm animals. People at the fair have been sharing pictures no Twitter. Here is a pic from SoCal native Cathy O’Neill (@CAO916) who took this iconic shot and tweeted “Oh yeah the @OCFair is n town!”

The Ice Museum at the Orange County Fair is a collaborative venture between three separate ice sculpture companies, Carving Ice Anaheim, Carving Ice Orlando, and Mark Daukas Designs.

Six time national ice carving champion, and world champion Mark Daukas, owner of Mark Daukas Designs, is credited with carving the elaborate angel in the viewing window. Mark also reproduced Michelangelo's David torso and Rodin's Thinker in human scale for the Ice Museum.

Roland Hernandez, owner of Carving Ice Anaheim is credited with carving the other ice sculptures displayed throughout the Ice Museum, such as the bust of King Tut, the Fu Dog, the Easter Island Head, the chinese dragon, the Mona Lisa and the Birth of Venus.

Chad, owner of Carving Ice Orlando is credited with creating and installing all of the sculpted ice walls, ice pedestals and the elaborate sound and lighting displayed throughout the Ice Museum.
