Announcing a new approach: one Twitter picture
Starting today, each post on 140pix will highlight one picture posted by someone from Southern California.
As a visitor, I simply think 140pix has been “all over the place.” From day to day, I didn’t know if I should expect pictures of animals, Halloween or a charity event. I had hoped to spotlight the patchwork quilt made from Southern California’s diverse population. Instead, I created a hodgepodge that I found difficult to consume.
So, now each post will focus on one thing: you. There will be a single image with a very brief introduction and links to the people who are generous enough to share those images with the world.
The blog won’t necessarily turn into a showcase for visual artists, although I do hope to shine some light on the many talented painters, designers and inkers I come across. I already have a post that will feature photographic work by an aquarium executive. Another post shares an image of the sky, as shot by a local firedancer.
If you come across a picture that you think should become a post, please send me a tweet.
