Dr. Nigella Hillgarth is the executive director of Birch Aquarium at Scripps in La Jolla. But it wasn’t her work at the aquarium that caught my attention. Hillgarth uses Twitter to share pictures she’s taken around the world. Recently, she’s been posting many pictures from Antarctica. Here is a great photo of an “Old wooden boat on edge of Chinstrap penguin colony” in South Shetland Islands.
The first of one-pic-only post comes from @veganbombshell, a fan of 140pix who had asked to be featured many moons ago. Since the first of this month, she has been capturing and sharing images of white streaks in the sky. @veganbombshell says they are chemtrails.
