The pictures you tweeted at #LATwestival

Why wait till this thing ends? There are so many pictures being posted by people attending Los Angeles Twestival 2009 that I might as well collect and share them now. If you’re at the shindig, maybe you can get someone to show the post on that big screen. Note to both of my regular visitors: pictures from non-SoCal tweeters are included in this post.

FAIL and tweeted pictures from #WordCampLA

Santa Monica web designer Austin Passy organized WordCamp LA, a gathering that took place Saturday to discuss WordPress, the blogging platform that powers 140pix.com and millions of other sites. Instead of posting too many pictures of speakers, like Ben Huh of I Can Has Cheezburger and FAIL Blog fame, I tried to focus mainly on images that show the SoCal-ness of the event. I’ve also included a few pictures from Twitter users not from the area for this one.

Firework photos tweeted from Santa Monica Pier and Disneyland

The Santa Monica Pier celebrated its 100th birthday Wednesday and Southern Californians shot and tweeted pictures of the fireworks that lit up the coastal skyline that night. (Here are photos from the L.A. Times.) Down in Anaheim, users regularly share images of the fireworks from Disneyland.
