California sunsets, volume 1

What better way to close the first day of 140pix than with our first volume of California sunset pictures? Okay, I’ll admit that this one might be a bit repetitive, but I never tire of seeing the sun meet the coastal horizon. I apologize now for the many sunset galleries to come.

Breakfast of champions, really?

People who don’t “get” Twitter have been know to say things like “I don’t care to tell everyone what I’m eating for breakfast.” If you do get Twitter, you’ve probably uttered a similar phrase, perhaps in the form of a threat: “If you tweet about your breakfast, I’m going to unfollow you.” Well, I’m going to face the inevitable reality — social media updates about morning meals are the future, and here are what social champions are consuming before heading off to work.

Say cheese, cheese, cheese

Apparently cheese is an important part of every meal in Southern California. But before we get into the gouda and the cheddar, take a look at what happens when an Encinitas mama asks a buckled boy to smile for the camera. I think I’ll pass on that cheese.
